Ubuntu in VPS Hosting
Ubuntu is available with all of our Linux VPS hosting packages and you can obtain a VPS running it in just 1 hour. 32-bit and 64-bit versions of the OS are available, which means that you are able to select the one which you need if the software that you would like to run on your web hosting server has particular system requirements in this regard. You may also select whether your Ubuntu-powered VPS should be installed with no Control Panel, in which case you'll have full root access and you'll be able to set up anything through a console; or if the Hepsia Control Panel should be set up on it, in which case you'll have a web interface and all the needed web server, MySQL, FTP, electronic mail server, etc. software is pre-installed. The root access in the second case will be more limited, but such a installation is more suitable for users with less experience. We will also keep your Ubuntu up-to-date regularly if you add our Managed Services upgrade. You will be able to do so during the VPS order process or at any later time through your billing Control Panel.
Ubuntu in Dedicated Web Hosting
Ubuntu is one of the Operating System options that you will find on our registration page in case you choose to acquire one of our Linux dedicated servers hosting packages. We will install the 32-bit or the 64-bit version, so as to meet the system requirements of the apps that you need to install on the server. You can also select the software that will operate on your machine, as we will set up only the Apache web server software, so everything else can be custom-made software that you choose. You'll be able to set up the latter without problems from a Secure Shell console, because you'll get root-level access and you will get full control over your server. You can install a website hosting Control Panel as well and control some things via a graphical interface, as long as it can work on an Ubuntu-driven machine. To make things simpler, we also supply a Managed Services upgrade, which, among other things, features Operating System upgrades.
